On the Art and Meta-Science of Heraldry

The art and meta-science of heraldry encompasses the design and study of armorial bearings — known in the common tongue as coats of arms. This discipline stands allied to vexillology, the study of standards and banners, which furnishes the precise language by which the patterns, bearings, and display of flags are set forth — concepts of great antiquity. Fittingly, this same reverence for the standard is echoed in the Hebrew tongue, in the terms dagal (דגל, banner) and nec (נס, standard). Together, these disciplines bridge symbol and substance, joining the study of ceremony, rank, and pedigree into a single learned art.

The Elements of Heraldry

Heraldry, most commonly rendered as a coat of arms, is composed of the shield, at times the helmet and crest, and joined together with supporters, badges, genealogy, family lineage, and motto — the full achievement of a house.

 

The Scriptural Foundation

Scripture is rich with accounts of standards, coats, and banners, yet none stands higher than the account of Joseph's coat of many colors — among the most beautiful and authentic testimonies at the very root of Heraldry itself. It is a meta-science and art form, kindled by the very spirit of יהוה בן יהוה, and set as a pillar of the curriculum for every University of יהוה yet to arise.

The Eternal University

The University of יהוה has ever existed in the heavens. Our Father יהוה raised the first University and set it within the blood itself. So it is written, "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of יהוה is within you" (Luke 17:21). The University of יהוה is inseparable and organic in its nature. To grasp what is meant in saying it is set within the blood, one must understand this as spoken in the spirit, not of a physical hall alone — though physical form it takes. To behold what a University signifies is to draw near to the higher intelligence of יהוה Yahweh's boundless reach of thought. The genetic code of the University of יהוה is coeval with birthright itself, woven into the very formation and differentiation of tissue — a living network that clothes the soul of every true disciple of יהוה בן יהוה.
