The Men’s Literacy and Code of Conduct Agreement is a foundational commitment required by the University of יהוה, a physical Hebrew-heritage institution located at 19050 W. McNichols Rd. in Detroit, Michigan. The agreement binds male students and members to strict spiritual, behavioral, and academic expectations centered on reclaiming ancient biblical customs, theocracy, and moral leadership. 

The primary components and philosophy underlying this code of conduct dictate specific standards for its members:

 

1. Spiritual Leadership and Accountability

• Theocratic Alignment: The code operates under the belief that the institution is a physical manifestation of a divine lineage dating back to creation. Men are expected to align their personal lives with the government, laws, and commandments of יהוה. 

• Character and Morality: The agreement stresses that character and absolute morality determine a man's destiny. Men must actively protect chastity, respect familial bloodlines, and honor friendships. 

• Civic and Global Responsibility: Initiated by groups like the Sons of Eleemosynary, the code demands that male leaders fill vacuums of ethics in local, governmental, and global leadership. 

 

2. Literacy and Language Mastery

• Original Text Literacy: The "Literacy" portion of the agreement emphasizes mastering the Ibriy (Hebrew) language. Men are expected to move past Westernized interpretations and read original sacred texts. 

• Sacred Text Study: Committing to the code means dedicating rigorous hours to studying the Torah and historical Yisraelite writings with a high level of academic discipline.

• Self-Education: The ideology strictly rejects abdicating the community's education to external, secular systems, placing the burden of community literacy directly on the men. 

 

3. Behavioral and Social Conduct

• Community Stewardship: Men must act as defenders and providers, which includes specific directives to shelter widows, care for orphans, and assist the feeble or oppressed. 

• Intellectual Inquiry: While the code demands strict obedience to divine law, it dictates that men engage in sharp philosophical inquiry and critical thinking regarding ethical questions. 

• Traditional Structure: The agreement reinforces a structured, traditional model of education and societal roles—often mirroring a traditional, localized "one-room schoolhouse" dynamic.
